Fuenmayor takes the spot vacated byThigpen.

Anyone else HAVE to be on one of the final two ballots? Speak now!

Baron Frost because that is seriously the most awesome name ever. I imagine him and his sidekick Chris Demons doing battle with Chip Cannon for the fate of the universe.

2 break out candidates for 2008 Jonathon Del Campo and  Brad Mills.  Neither really warrant being on this list, but hey either does Fuenmayor or Coats

No love for Kenny Rodriguez? Rumours say he could be a riser...

Coats has been a subject of debate already, but it doesn't look like he'll get Top 10 status from Box voters anyway. Fuenmayor, no, he probably isn't Top 10, but including him in the list of candidates at this point marks him as Top 17 (given the winners of previous polls are no longer shown) and that seems entirely jusifiable.

I've been voting Tolisano since #4, and I've been tempted to say so since then, but it's hard to speak with any sort of authority about most of these guys. I've read very few scouting reports and most of them hardly have any numbers. I've never been a big rankings guy anyways - it's good to know what you and others have, but I'm just not big on placings I suppose. I do certainly enjoy following the minor leaguers throughout the season though!

I think I have now voted for Tolisano in four consecutive votes.

Looks like Diaz is the favorite so far ... that surprises me since he finished third in the previous poll and sixth in the one prior to that. He is apparently much beloved by those whose candidates have won and who can vote for someone new, while Team Tolisano languishes a bit .. if the polls hold true to form, which they haven't so far!, then Tolisano seems likely to at least (barely) make the Top 10 ... we'll see.

I'm thinking that as we get low, the voting is reflecting whether people favor "close-to-the-major-leaguers" or "high-ceiling-but-unpredictable" prospects.  As the winners of the previous round fall out, they'll vote for the one most like their previous vote, not the next most popular (thus Thigpen votes become Diaz votes).  After Diaz, there aren't any close-to-the-majors people really (maybe Patterson, but he's definitely a notch below), so now that I've mentioned what I think is a trend, I'll look like a fool as there is no one to carry on the trend.

I'm happy to announce that I've joined the ranks of the Tolisano voters in this slot.....and look to be staying there through to #10.  I'd probably go Tolisano, Chavez, Ginley to complete the Top 10.

Taking a closer look at Chavez and Tolisano (  I had been voting Tolisano) its pretty hard to make a case for Tolisano being a better prospect than Chavez. Chave is younger and had a far superior hitting line last year. The only thing Tolisano has on Chavez is that John plays 2B. So I may have to switch gears in the next vote
