Wow, impressive.  Folks just gettin' down and voting.  No chatter, whatsover.  Doh!

Looks like Tolisano will get the nod at number 10 - up 25 votes right now.  Chavez number eleven.  Personally, I think this is an excellent list.  I agree with this one more than any other I've read.  It is informed concensus, by and large.  It will likely change a lot in a year, though, with all the prepsters and other rookies getting a full season under their belts.

My most cherished possession is my great grandmother's false teeth (the uppers - the bottoms seem to have been buried with her) which I keep in an old Barbie Doll box left over after my little sister destroyed the doll trying to see if petite blonds could withstand being run over by the local commuter train. For those interested: Train 1 Barbie Doll 0.

The reason I mention great grannies false teeth is because I am SO sure that Chavez will be INFINITELY better than Tolisano, not to mention several of the other stiffs that have finished this poll ahead of him, that I am prepared to bet my most treasured possession, straight up, against anyone else's favorite toothpick, that Chavez will have at least twice the career Tolisano will have!

There, I've gone and got that off my chest. And, I do feel ever so much better.

As this list completes, it brings some questions to my mind.

Is there any chance that Hopkins decides this year that he wants to play baseball again?  If so, do the Jays still own his rights?

It'd be nice to add a lefty-bat with some pop (at least in college) to the minors.

Actually, I never heard any details of his retirement, other than the fact he retired.  Does anyone know the story there?

Ugh, no. I live in Ottawa. What do you think the odds are that I would be a Leafs fan.

Keith Law put up his top 5 by organization at his ESPN blog. 

The big surprise (at least to me) is that he has Trystan Magnuson 4th.  4 of the top 5 were from this year's draft, but not in the drafted order:  Cecil, Ahrens, Magnuson and Arencibia.

Just how terrible was the Jays system heading into last season?

Is it possible that American disinterest in anything non-American could lead to a modest amount of under-scouting of Jays' prospects by all these talent evaluators out there?  We have been sending a lot of young talent to the majors (with success) despite the less than stellar reviews we've had lately.
