Today's poll question is from Andrew Simpson, via e-mail. Thanks, Andrew!

P.S. when you vote, don't forget to factor in cost.

Cost is pretty hard to define when you've got players with a lot of variables. But what the heck - if you're looking at big risk/big reward, go with Kerry Wood. Mulder and Wolf would be next on the list; Armas and Eaton don't interest me at all unless they're dirt cheap.

Eric Gagne was also cut loose. It'd be interesting to see what kind of contract he's looking for.

Gil Meche missed the entire 2001 and 2002 seasons. He pitched less then 150 innings last year and about 180 this year, so could sort of be considered an "injury plagued pitcher," because he is only now perhaps able to catch up with his potential....those years probably set him back a few years too, and his value could go under his talent.

Keith Foulke, Shawn Estes, Rick Helling, Dustin Hermanson, and Octavio Dotel.

Mulder could be a nice, relatively cheap 3rd starter, especially if we snag a slick fielding SS.

If he's willing to accept an incentive laden deal, and given his injury question marks and dubious recent performances he very well could be, Mulder would be a nice little pickup for the Jays.

Wood and Gagne are intriguing bullpen prospects but I'd need a medical degree to accurately assess the probability of them making contributions next season.

Wood.

Mulder is a terrible investment still living off the sucess of his oakland days in pitcher's parks gone by.  Check out his life time road ERA if you feel like having quite the scare.
