I will personally be shocked, nay, stunned if NYY doesn't "win" this poll. Maybe BOS will give them a run, tho. Wonder if every team will get "support" in this version, too?

Hard for a Jays fan to be "against" the Rockies. Or the Cubs. Or the D-Backs.

I'm not rooting against any team.  I'd love for Jeter to take an 0 fer to stop the nattering about his clutchiness, but otherwise the Yankees and Red Sox have now been built with both money and intelligence.  It's easy to not root for them, but I save my positive disapproval for stupidity or disreputable conduct and there's no Loria in sight.

I don't see anyone in the NL to really root against; luckily, there are a few teams to root for instead.

In the AL, rooting against the Yankess is a postseason tradition, although the dislike is less for me than in previous years. The longer it's been since they won, the less it matters to me. If they'd just miss the playoffs once in a while, I'd root against the Sox instead. I used to be a Sox fan, was glad they won in 2004, and now my dislike for them grows each year, despite not disliking any of the players. It's odd how much I hold constant smothering media attention against teams.

Just to note, the Rockies won the previous poll pretty easily over Cleveland.

Says you. I know a few too many Cubs fans who think their team deserves to win the World Series just because of how futile their history has been. It's some kind of weird reverse Yankee entitlement. They'd definitely be my pick if it weren't for the Yanks' presence.

I will be against Cleaveland until they change the name of their team...though I will back off if they at least do the obvious move and rework their logos.
