Alex Rios, at #48, is the only Jay in the ranking's Top 100. That's right, no Doc!
If you take the player ranks of the AL East teams ONLY:
Vernon Wells sits at #43 behind such other Blue Jays notables such as: Towers #41, Janssen #35, Halladay #32, Tallet #29, etc etc.
Just to put a little bit of emphasis on how bad of a season he is actually having.

It's the all first-halves. One year in the middle of their careers, Toby Harrah had a better first half than George Brett. Peavy being "better" than Johan Santana is about the same...
But according to their retrospect rankings. Roy Halladay was the Number 1 pitcher in April.
Agreed. There are so many other tools for this sort of thing, like Win Shares, WARP, VORP etc. Why not use one of those rather than making up some arbitrary "10% of this, 15% of that" junk stat. Definitely a waste of time.
Any player-rating system that says the best Blue Jays pitcher this year has been Brian Tallet has to be flawed.

I don't think he's better than Burnett or Marcum, or probably Halladay, but he's probably the best reliever the Jays have right now. Lowest ERA, lowest WHIP, second in innings pitched, no homers allowed. He's been pretty darn good.
