With apologies to Benitez - Worrell and Valverde - Lyon, who were victimized by the need to have all playoff contenders represented.
You know, I was thinking the same thing Craig posted. You'd assume -- or at least I would -- that the NL, which is the "strategy" league would tend to have more depth in bullpens and more "star" closers. But you know, with the exception of Sutter, most of the Big Name Closers historically have been at least in part AL guys -- Eck, Smith (both leagues), Reardon ...
Prove me wrong. This is all hunch work.

Rivera, Fingers...Actually, it's not that surprising that excellent closers would be found in both leagues. One would instinctively expect more depth in the bullpens in the NL; I don't know that it is historically true, but it certainly isn't true now.
It is, I think, mostly symptomatic of the difference between the quality of the leagues right now.

I think Gagne/Baez is the top pair IMO with Looper/Isringhausen coming in a close 2nd (shocked they only have 1 vote).
I just can't trust Chad Qualls as the Setup guy for Lidge.
