That is one awful catching crop in terms of offensive production.
I alternated between Lo Duca, Piazza, Estrada, Barrett, and Null for my votes. Null was probably my best choice. This is like when Sandy Alomar Jr started all those times until Pudge saved the AL.
I think Piazza wins the actual vote just because he's the only guy on the list most voters will have heard of. I think LoDuca is probably the most deserving -- he got my vote -- but Batter's Box loyalty to the cast of Too Many Molinas! may play a role here.
LoDuca and Estrada are reasonable choices, having both a history and pretty good performance this year. What a difference there is between the leagues. The AL has I-Rod, Posada and Varitek, whereas the NL crew's best are just average hitters.
