The WBC is down to the "elite eight". Who will win?

Cuba | 11 (5.58%) |
Mexico | 4 (2.03%) |
USA | 26 (13.20%) |
Puerto Rico | 34 (17.26%) |
Venezuela | 16 (8.12%) |

Although Korea is not as strong as it was last WBC and in the Olympics, they seem to be the only team that has Japan's number winning 3 out of 5 in WBC so far. Otherwise, I think Japan will win without difficulty.
Japan will win because, well, you gotta have wa.
If I'm reading this poll right, at least three people have voted for Puerto Rico today ... which is kinda odd (and supremely unlikely) given that they were, y'know, eliminated yesterday, weren't they?
I believe in a true Cinderella story. Zombie Cinderella.
With Cuba out and the U.S. hurting I would have to put my money on Japan. I wouldn't count Venezuala out, however.
Who would you rather play in the semi's, Venezuela on Saturday (giving you a day's rest before the finals on Monday) or the US at home on Sunday, the day before the Finals?
Will all the talent on Venezuela, or Braun-supplemented US team be able to pull it out? Or will the Asian teams continue to dominate (losing only to each other at this WBC)?

From what I saw on TV of the Japan v Korea match, I am thinking Asian, all the way...
Just here to gloat... March 15th I called it, and it doesn't matter which team wins^^
1st inning Ichiro singles -- but I'll say the Koreans will win, no gloating, this is just the kind of Bong I'll take hits off of... the tele says the key to the game is Itchy hitting a HR. I say, that'll never happen. Go Korea. Gloating is for sissies, I am told by my supervisor, Pat Bennett.
I fell asleep. So here, I'd like to give a shout out to Ichiro for a great career and for once again taking his country to the top of the baseball world (Jeter = over-rated).
Now for a little something I care about. The USA has spent:
$11,830,590,021
on the war on drugs. Please see:

Best,
