NOTE: Jose
Rijo is a "second-time first-timer," as he previously appeared on the HOF ballot in
2001 after having not pitched since 1995. But he returned to MLB that year and
pitched again in 2002. But he is not listed here on OUR ballot as a first-time
eligible because, well, he ain't.
That said, if this isn't the biggest blowout in the history of Batter's Box polling, I'll be very surprised. No room for an 11th choice, "None of the Above," but then again -- would that be a viable option?

We have one no-doubt-about-it and ten no-way-on-earth new names on the ballot.
It occurs to met that the nature of this year's class may be good news for some players who have been knocking at the door for a while - Gossage, Dawson, Blyleven.

There are no reasons, or justifications, to vote for anyone other than Tim Raines. Best lead off hitter in National League history? Best stolen base percentage of all time... an obvious choice (although who knows how he'll do).
While Raines should get in, I'm betting on him being lucky to get enough to stay on the ballot (ugh).
I suspect we'll see Goose get in along with Jim Rice (who would be a backup on a team with Tim Raines on it if both were to play LF). Dawson will get close but not make it while Blyleven gets to 60%.

I'd be interested in hearing the justification from anyone who voted for anyone other than Rock.
Here is my ballot (from an alternate universe where my ballot actually counts):
Blyleven, Dawson, McGwire, Murphy, Parker, Raines, Trammell
