So we have ARI, CHC and NYM as NL division champs. Who grabs the NL Wild Card "title"?
ATL | 25 (16.67%) |
COL | 20 (13.33%) |
LAD | 25 (16.67%) |
MIL | 35 (23.33%) |
PHI | 25 (16.67%) |
SDP | 14 (9.33%) |
Other (who?) | 6 (4.00%) |
Note: Candidates listed are every team in the three previous polls who did not win the poll but still garnered at least 10 percent of the vote (at this writing).
So, sorry CIN, FLA, HOU, PIT, SFG, STL, WAS -- if you really want to vote for one of those, just select "Other" and explain your choice below!
The Giants and Nats are the only zero-percenters from the division polls ... now watch them both drive all the way to fce-off in the NLCS!
Dang! It's early yet, but the results are as split as a poll has ever been here. So far, it's 6-6-4-4-3 (and one for "Other," undefined). I thought this would be a runaway for PHI (who I did not vote for myself) with LAD and COL splitting some NLW support ... where did all the MIL support come from?
Meh, it's early. Maybe when the sample size is more legitimate, we'll see patterns.
This is addimttedly not a response from the most knowledgeable NL fan out there. That being said, however, Milwaukee has some serious power. Fielder, Weeks, Hardy, Braun, Hall, Cameron, Hart...whoever else plays positions there. Wait - Gabe Gross!
How about a revamped bullpen with Gagne and Riske.
Looks like a lot of talent in the rotation. Of course, the usual caveats apply, health, health, and health.
Looks like a potentially awesome club to me.
Most importantly, I don' t think they'll have to beat either the Yanks or Socks to make the playoffs.
BTW - Just a shout out from a Jays fan in Fredericton, NB thanking everybody for the best baseball site on the internet.
I voted for Colorado, my NL West champ. Just because I really like kittens.
