Who wins the 2007 MLB All-Star Game?
AL in a Laugher | 64 (47.41%) |
AL in a Squeaker | 39 (28.89%) |
NL in a Squeaker | 17 (12.59%) |
NL in a Laugher | 5 (3.70%) |
Oh no! Another TIE! | 10 (7.41%) |
This is how I see it going down. The coin flip would be in San Francisco after both teams run out of pitchers (again) to determine the winner of the all star game and receive the coveted home field advantage for the victorious league. Tony Larussa steps aside and lets Barry Bonds go to home plate for a reunion with Jim Leyland. Leyland allows Bonds to call it since Pac-Bell / AT&T / (insert phone company here) is his home park. Bud Selig comes down with a ceremonial coin for the flip. For heads, you have the balloned head of Barry Bonds (it is after all his park) and for tails you have the BALCO logo. In a shocking turn of events, Hammerin' Hank Aaron comes down out of the stands and as Barry strides over to shake Hank's hand, commisioner Selig inadvertantly trips Bonds, thus causing Bonds knee injury to reoccur, only worse. The tear is so bad that it ends Bonds career, thus freeing up Selig's supposed travel plans to follow Barry and insuring Hank remains the home run champion (at least until A-Rod gets there). In the mass chaos, the coin flip is completely forgot about and home field advantage for the World Series remains a mystery, thus throwing out MLB's slogan of "This Time It Counts", for the MLB all star game.
