Well, this one shouldn't be hard. A-Rod is starting for the AL at 3B in the 2007 All-Star Game. Who should be?
Alex Rodriguez (Duh!) | 90 (85.71%) |
Troy Glaus (I'm a homer!) | 4 (3.81%) |
Anybody but A-Rod (please!) | 9 (8.57%) |
Other (tell us who and why) | 2 (1.90%) |

I think we know what A-Rod would say about this poll - "This one's MINE!"
I've been trying to pick the worst possible player at each position this week, so my choice for third base is Joe Crede.
Sweet, I'm the only homer! Since the game matters though, shouldn't the guy that came up and delivered a clutch double in last years game get back on the team?
Also, I don't think Halladay deserves to be on the team. I think Marcum is being unfairly penalized for spending a month in the pen and having terrible run support. He has been flat out awesome and should have at least gotten some consideration.
I know, I tried to nominate some lesser-appreciated guys too... I voted for Marcum, Accardo, and Stairs, primarily because I knew not many others would and I hoped it'd give them a chance. (This was before Accardo's recent struggles, but he's still been a solid pitcher this year. He's just not B.J. Ryan.)
As for A-Rod, I think he's an A-Hole, but I think his stats alone make him the obvious choice. Unfortunately, it's the All-Star Game, not the All-Humble-Nice-Guys Game. If it were the latter, the Jays could be the starting lineup.
