The rested Orioles arrive into town to visit the rested Blue Jays. The Jays ended the first half* with too many relievers and too few position players. This happened because Kevin Pillar and Lourdes Gurriel went on the DL just before the break. Ryan Tepera came back from the DL and today Richard Urena has been recalled to fill Gurriel's spot. The Jays will likely see several other moves over the next seven days. Marco Estrada and Ryan Borucki will be back. Danny Barnes and Aaron Sanchez might be not too much behind them. And hopefully Gurriel will be back soon.

It was a quiet night on the farm. Cavan Biggio hit a late home run to earn a win for New Hampshire. Vancouver won in extra innings but everyone else lost. Even New Hampshire lost a game, the other side of a doubleheader. There were few standout performances. Some nights picking the top three stars is tough because there are several stand-outs. On Wednesday the pickings were slimmer.

The Farm has had better weekends, but there was still a lot to be excited about. Jordan Groshans performed admirably down in the GCL next to a rehabbing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Bo Bichette had four hits before taking off to the Future's Game. There was lots of hitting and some good pitching on Thursday. On some nights there are only a couple of hitters with a multi hit game. Vancouver had seven of them, Dunedin had four. Sean Reid-Foley ran hot and cold but Buffalo won in the tenth inning. Max Pentecost hit a three run home run in the first inning but the Fisher Cats could not build on it and lost 5-4. Riley Adams and Kevin Smith hit well, Dunedin won 3-0. Lansing bats were hot, Chavez Young hit a grand slam, the Lugnuts won 11-8. Vancouver put up 16 hits, very high for them and won 7-1. Otto Lopez keeps on hitting. Bluefield bats were also hot, Davis Schneider went deep as the Jays won. The GCL and DSL Jays also won.

Patrick Murphy was dominant for seven innings on Wednesday. But the Dunedin bullpen, and Vancouver's too, coughed up four runs in the ninth to turn likely wins into two losses. Lansing also dominated but with offense, Ryan Noda and Chavez Young led the hitters. Bluefield had a late lead but lost it and the game. Buffalo and New Hampshire had their all-star breaks and the GCL Jays had a routine day off. In Vancouver's loss Otto Lopez went four for four and has yet to strike out with Vancouver.
