Buffalo enjoys a day off today after picking up a victory in Rochester on Memorial Day Monday.
I can't even dignify this under the Windy Baseball Lore classification. It's just an off-day time waster, because a fresh thread is badly required.
Three New Hampshire pitchers combined on a two hitter. Five Vancouver pitchers combined on a three hitter. Both teams won. Buffalo also won behind Casey Lawrence but Dunedin lost in a definitely not a well pitched game.
Jordan Groshans hit his first home run of the season. Rainer Nunez hit his league leading eleventh.

And once again it was Gabriel Martinez who led Dunedin to victory. He was backed by some excellent pitching. Buffalo split a doubleheader, Vinny Capra and Samad Taylor were the leading hitters. New Hampshire gave up nine runs, three by Adam Kloffenstein in a short outing. Vancouver lost, late.
Buffalo had two hits and won 5-3. On the other hand New Hampshire had 12 hits and also won. Vancouver won thanks to a ninth inning rally while Dunedin scored four in the first inning, plenty for Dahian Santos.

No, it's not Orelvis Martinez who went deep twice, it was the other Martinez, Gabriel, for Dunedin. He drove in all four runs but it wasn't enough as Dunedin were held to four hits. New Hampshire were also held to four hits and they lost too. Vancouver managed eight hits but that too was not enough. Buffalo were rained out.
Nate Pearson made an appearance. Also note that the FCL will start play on June 6th, just ten days away.
California, here we come. Who's ready to stay up late?
When did this all get started?
The affiliates were in line for a perfect Tuesday but Vancouver could not close the deal.
Four wins in four games for your Sunday. New Hampshire and Vancouver both won with walk-offs while Dunedin handily won both ends of a doubleheader. Buffalo were rained out.
This is your abbreviated, long weekend, 12 hour power failure, minor league update. Zach Britton was the offense for Vancouver in their win. He went deep twice, including a walk off bomb, and scored all of the C's three runs. Gabriel Moreno had four hits including his first home run. Buffalo won in eleven innings. New Hampshire lost despite hitting four home runs. Hayden Juenger and Adam Kloffenstein ran into some trouble.
Maximo Castillo was dominant in pitching seven innings as Buffalo won. Ricky Tiedemann also had an excellent debut as Vancouver recorded a narrow victory. Dahian Santos also pitched wll and Dunedin had a third win for the affiliates. New Hampshire were the exception and lost.
