5 games, 18 total runs, and a Golden Sombrero for The Chosen One.
With Syrause’s game postponed, the affiliates went 2-1 yesterday. New Hampshire won at home, but the key pitching matchups were found in the lower minors. In Dunedin R. Gonzalez faced off against R. Gonzalez, while Lansing travelled to Clinton for a duel between Kyle Ginley and Neftali Feliz that did not disappoint.

The
Canadian Press is reporting that Adam Lind has received the call up and will be starting in left field and batting eight for the Blue Jays today. Thanks to many for bringing up rumours. Jeff Blair's take
is here. Joe Inglett is the man getting sent down.
Lind was hitting .365/.423/.587 in AAA, with 3 home runs, 6 walks and 10 strikeouts through 69 PAs.
"He may be here in a few days." -
John Gibbons, before yesterday's game
The Chiefs want Adam Lind back, they only had two hits in a loss. New Hampshire weren't much better, they had three hits through eight innings before doubling their hit total in the ninth and losing 8-1. Lansing were down 6-0 after two innings, and 13-0 after five, and lost as the Lumber Kings lived up to their name. Dunedin saved the day by taking the lead in the top of the ninth before Connor Falkenbach had to work around two errors and an attempted double steal to get the save.
Four game losing streak? Last place? Adam Lind trapped in purgatory? Oh yeah? You think that's bad? Remember when I auditioned to be David Hasselhoff's car?
Lind didn't start yesterday's game against Pawtucket. He delivered a pinch hit single in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
The Jays
lose another close-ish game in Tampa as the Rays complete the three game sweep, running Toronto's losing streak to four. In, uh, more positive news,
the Raptors won, so Toronto ended the night 1-1 against the state of Florida.
It remains to be seen who will win the long-term bragging rights for the best draft pick from 2007, but on Thursday Dunedin's Brett Cecil out-dueled Lakeland's Rick Porcello.
Ugh. I don't think when JP was planning this season he was expecting that, in late April, the Jays would be rolling out an offense containing three catchers and Joe Inglett, no surprise the offense was it's usual lackluster self last night.

Adam Lind has a .987 OPS at Syracuse and appears to be perfectly healthy. He is hitting .355 with a .581 slugging percentage. The Blue Jays are struggling offensively and starting bench players at DH and the corner outfield positions. Why?
Two and two on the day. Syracuse and Dunedin mirrored their parent by losing and getting five and three hits respectively. Starters David Purcey and Gus Chacin could not be blamed for the losses. New Hampshire won behind a good start from Ricky Romero and a first star performance by Chris Gutierrez. Lansing scored two in the eighth to record a come from behind win.

I didn't realize Banks was available, but apparently the Jays had to make room for Shawn Camp, and
Banks was subsequently claimed by the Padres.
Apparently Banks was less valuable to the Jays than Tracey Thorpe, Jean Machi, Russ Adams, and Sergio Santos. Not to mention Gus Chacin, Bill Murphy, and Buck Coats.
Brilliant.
It used to be a big deal.
Recently, WPA has become a favourite stat to evaluate relievers. Care to guess which reliever is leading the majors so far in WPA?
