We're at the semi-final stage.
It's one of my favourite plays in baseball.

Yup, the Jays are hot and could be viewed as in the race for the first time since the 90's in mid-September.
Quick! Without looking it up!
For those that missed it, there have now been
249,996 HRs hit in MLB history after Delgado's 2 HRs last night.
Sometime early tonight HR #250,000 will likely be hit. Here's a
list of the players that hit the previous milestones.
Predict who it will be!
Bauxite
zeppelinkm has prepared a Data Table that examines this year's work by Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay, with particular focus on the Quality of the Opposition. I'm just the middle-man!
I’ll let J.P. keep his job if the Jays beat Garza … fair enough? (sly wink)

Done!
A Phelps had a multi-homer game. But, this Phelps wasn’t Josh, or even Michael, who apparently can accomplish nearly anything. Instead, this Phelps was a second baseman who slugged his Mahoning Valley Scrappers to victory over Auburn.
Tell me about today's game, I missed most of it.

The Doubledays were leading 3-2 in the sixth when the rains came and ended the game early. Brian Van Kirk had two hits and drove in two runs.
So that was a pretty good game. The Jays
win 9-0, Jesse Litsch gets the CG shutout, Travis Snider went 3-3 with a walk and a home run (and no strikeouts...well, yeah) and the Jays helped to severely cripple the playoff chances of another team.

With the minor league season almost finished I thought it would be useful to pull together the scouting reports and interviews I published this summer. Over the minor league season I was in Fort Myers to see the Dunedin Jays, in Lansing twice to see the Lugnuts, in Erie and Binghamton to see the Fisher Cats and in Auburn to see the Doubledays. I have pulled together all my scouting reports and interviews into one thread for reference purposes.

As quickly as it began, it was over. With Dunedin eliminated last night, Lansing followed suit tonight as
the young hitters were never able to muster up much of an offensive.
No wins on Wednesday. Dunedin's season ends as they lose 2-0 in the playoffs. Lansing lost game one and must win tonight. Auburn completed the trifecta.
I spoke with Dane Johnson, the Jays minor league roving pitching co-ordinator, last week in Lansing. We talked about several of the Jays pitching prospects and talked about more bad news for Gustavo Chacin.
