The Jays stormed back to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th against the resurgent Troy Pervical, only to see an Alex Rios leadoff triple in the bottom of the 10th go uncashed. A sac fly from Bossman Junior and a Dioner Navarro grand slam later and that was all she wrote. Those with a need to see the gruesome details can do so,
here.
Five runs in one Inning ? I'm a bit perturbed, these things are precious this year, five is practically a weeks worth, they shouldn't go using them all up at once.

Well, at least the Jays banged out 10 hits last night - only the
third time since April 20th.
I go away for a week and come back and the Jays have something like a 1 ERA over the last week or so. Last night was a
1-0 victory over the White Sox for the first 4 game sweep in 5 years.
It's early days yet, but that Evil Ghost that haunted 2005 seems to have risen from the old crypt and is loose in the Rogers Centre again.
Five runs? Break up the Jays!
"Don't you know how hard all this is?"
-- Ted Williams
During these recent difficult days, I thought it might be helpful if we reflected upon the words of some older, wiser head. Much older than even my own, and much, much wiser:
Ugh. I don't think when JP was planning this season he was expecting that, in late April, the Jays would be rolling out an offense containing three catchers and Joe Inglett, no surprise the offense was it's usual lackluster self last night.

Recently, WPA has become a favourite stat to evaluate relievers. Care to guess which reliever is leading the majors so far in WPA?
Jays
shut down by Armando Galarrage!?!
It seemed like just a
week ago that I was wrote about the Jays having little success against inexperienced pitchers.
Well now, home entertainment was my baby's wish
So I hopped into town for a satellite dish
I tied it to the top of my Japanese car
I came home and I pointed it out into the stars
A message came back from the great beyond
There's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
And just relax and sing a song
And drive your car up on the lawn
And let me play your guitar
The Jays continue their struggles at home; despite receiving a fine outing from Roy Halladay the offense could only manage 1 run and the good doctor took the loss.
I hate hitting into double plays, not beating up on young pitchers and Kevin Millar.
Other than that
last night was great!
