In tha AL Wild Card, it was Jason Frasor, Winning Pitcher. Tonight, Travis Snider gets his moment on a Big Stage,
The destination was the same as ever. The route was certainly different.
I've been working on the great Blue Jays Report Card (coming to a Batter's Box near you on Monday), and when it came to discussing the manager I thought I'd try to identify a few things the man actually does when it comes to running his team.
I got carried away. So I thought I'd best spin it off into a separate piece.

"That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough! I'm going to Clown College!"
Today's the day the 25 man limit on the active roster is no longer operative. The Blue Jays, apparently, are definitely calling up LH pitcher Daniel Norris and some reports say RH pitcher Kendall Graveman is also headed to the Show.
There are 26 weeks in the baseball season, and 20 of them have been
played. Which means - natch - that there are six weeks remaining.
Five
AL teams are going to the post-season, and it's pretty clear that
Baltimore, Oakland, and Los Angeles are taking three of those spots. The
Orioles will win the AL East; either the A's or the Angels will win the
AL West, with the second place team settling for a Wild Card.
There are two major league ballparks in the city of Chicago...
...but only one that carries a significant place in Baseball history...
The Jays affiliates were 3-3 today, with the wins coming from Buffalo, New Hampshire and Dunedin. The losses came from the lower affiliates in Lansing, Vancouver, and Bluefield. Daniel Norris had a fantastic outing for New Hampshire, Jon Berti had a bunch of hits while adding to his stolen base total, and Sean Nolin was solid for Buffalo.
The Batter's Box Minor League Player & Pitcher of the Month honours for June go to
Franklin Barreto and
Daniel Norris.
Franklin Barreto received two first-place selections and one third-place vote in June for 11 points - sneaking by the trio of
Adron Chambers,
K.C. Hobson and
Matt Newman by a single point.
Daniel Norris earned three first-place votes and one second-place selection to give him 18 points - five ahead of fellow lefty
Matt Boyd.
The White Sox and fearsome Cuban slugger Jose Abreu visit Toronto.
This isn't going to be easy for me...
Some more fireworks in New Hampshire and Kyle Drabek shined in relief as the affiliates went 4-3 tonight.

Not much winning on the farm tonight although the Dunedin squad clinch a playoff spot as the FSL North’s first half champion. The affiliates went 2-4.

So you think you're pretty hot, eh? You think there's nothing that can knock you off your hill?
Don Zimmer was around the game just about as long as a man can be.
