There are 26 weeks in the baseball season, and 20 of them have been played. Which means - natch - that there are six weeks remaining.

Five AL teams are going to the post-season, and it's pretty clear that Baltimore, Oakland, and Los Angeles are taking three of those spots. The Orioles will win the AL East; either the A's or the Angels will win the AL West, with the second place team settling for a Wild Card.

The Jays affiliates were 3-3 today, with the wins coming from Buffalo, New Hampshire and Dunedin.  The losses came from the lower affiliates in Lansing, Vancouver, and Bluefield.  Daniel Norris had a fantastic outing for New Hampshire, Jon Berti had a bunch of hits while adding to his stolen base total, and Sean Nolin was solid for Buffalo.

The Batter's Box Minor League Player & Pitcher of the Month honours for June go to Franklin Barreto and Daniel Norris.

Franklin Barreto received two first-place selections and one third-place vote in June for 11 points - sneaking by the trio of Adron Chambers, K.C. Hobson and Matt Newman by a single point. Daniel Norris earned three first-place votes and one second-place selection to give him 18 points - five ahead of fellow lefty Matt Boyd.
