New Hampshire fought the Fightin' Phillies and won. Vancouver also was victorious on a two-win Tuesday for the affiliates.
It's yet another first place team providing the opposition.
There were six games on the schedule Sunday. New Hampshire won, Buffalo lost, Dunedin split a doubleheader. But Vancouver were the best on the day, winning both ends of a doubleheader. Cade Doughty had six hits.
I also did a deep dive into how I see Orelvis Martinez's season so far.
There were several good performances on the farm on Saturday. Buffalo won a slugfest by hitting five home runs. Their pitching wasn't so good with a couple of guys on the 40 man roster not doing so well. New Hampshire played two. After losing the first they scored eleven in the second. They had three home runs with Miguel Hiraldo hitting a grand slam. Vancouver were supposed to play two but only got one game in. Dahian Santos pitched well and Cade Doughty had three hits. Dunedin had a nice come from behind win.
There were a couple of fine pitching performances on Friday. Both Chad Dallas and Kendry Rojas went five shutout innings. New Hampshire lost on an eleventh inning balk. Dunedin won with a seven inning shutout. Buffalo were outplayed as Zach Thompson left with an injury. Vancouver also lost.

On the one hand, winning one of four at the Trop really isn't all that terrible.
Rafael Lantigua again led the way for Buffalo. He reached base six times. Buffalo won easily with Bowden Francis returning. Sem Robberse and Trenton Wallace both pitched well for their teams but both took the loss anyway. Dunedin's game was suspended. Brandon Barriera threw 2.1 innings before it rained.
Buffalo and Vancouver lost. New Hampshire and Dunedin were rained out on a winless Wednesday.
Vancouver swept a doubleheader. That was the only two wins for the affiliates on Tuesday.
The homestand started out just great, but soon went all to hell. What this team needs is a road trip! Bring it on! Let's go to...
Sometimes players are called into situations. Devereaux Harrison was used to pitching one or sometimes two innings in the Vancouver bullpen. Until today. The C's needed a spot start and he got it. He delivered a five inning, one hitter, to set Vancouver up for a win. Buffalo's hitters were at it again, 16 hits and an easy win. New Hampshire split a doubleheader while Dunedin were thumped by Tampa.
Buffalo took an early lead and never looked back. Spencer Horwitz picked up his usual two hits. Vancouver lost. New Hampshire were rained out and Dunedin had an off day after a doubleheader yesterday.
Chad Dallas was the star of the day. In his AA debut he went seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts. New Hampshire won easily. Vancouver also shut out their opponents in game two of their doubleheader. They lost game one. Dunedin also split their doubleheader. Buffalo lost.
The homestand (4-3 so far) wraps up with three games against the second place Baltimore Orioles.
Jamie Ritchie had five RBI for Buffalo who came back from a 8-0 deficit to win. Dunedin won a tight game with Tampa. New Hampshire and Vancouver were blown out.
