Starting pitchers have been pitching two, three or four innings and a lot of innings have been thrown by minor leaguers. But over the upcoming two weeks the starters will be going five, six or seven innings and most reliever innings will be thrown by major leaguers or almost major leaguers.

In recent years the World Series has been less enthralling than the previous rounds, two of the last three series have been sweeps. The Giants get to pitch Madison Bumgarner twice against the Royals and that could give them an edge. The Royals do have a lot of left handed hitters and that works in favour of Bumngarner and the Giants.

The Royals face a must win game tonight with Yordano Ventura facing Jake Peavy.
