This year, the Blue Jays Top 30 Prospect List is a consensus effort from the minor-league crew. The statistical summaries are the work of Jonny German, while the analysis for each prospect was done by one of the crew (JF-Jordan Furlong; GM-Gerry McDonald; MG-Mike Green; JG-Jonny German; RP-Rob Pettapiece). Final Top 30 rankings were determined through a complex and sophisticated system: we added up all of our own personal rankings and averaged 'em out. Today, it's prospects #30 to #21.

The Doubledays fell last night to the Staten Island Yankees by a 3-2 score. The Yankees won the NYPL title, sweeping the best-of-three series. Nonetheless, Auburn had a fine season.

I think that headline makes sense. If it doesn't, blame computers. As you can tell (or not), the Auburn Doubledays lost game one of their NY-Penn League final to the Staten Island Yankees.

For the second day in a row Auburn laid a big "whuppin" on Oneonta, outscoring the Tigers 33-9 in the series while sweeping their best of three semi-final. Yesterday Jacob Butler had the big numbers, five hits, six RBI's.

The Doubledays have been great in the regular season and then struggled in the playoffs each of the last 2 years. They showed no mercy yesterday, scoring early and often in routing the Oneonta Tigers.

The Doubledays are the last farm affiliate left standing, and closed out the regular season last night with a 6-1 win.

The D'Jays lost the first game of their 3 game playoff series and the Doubledays won as they prepare for their own playoff run.

It’s all over for the minor league regular season, save 3 more games for Auburn. Syracuse goes out on a winning note, New Hampshire and Lansing not so much.

It was a big day for John-Ford Griffin, culminating with the news he will be recalled by the Jays after today's game. Earlier Griffin hit his 30th home run and with it, moved over 100 RBI's for the season. Dunedin and Auburn prepared for the playoffs while everyone else is playing out the schedule. Ryan Patterson and Chip Cannon continued their fine seasons.

The minor league season is winding down. There have been pleasures and disappointments. One thing is sure; when the season is over, I will miss it. The farm affiliates went 4-1.

Here's one observer's take on the good and the not-quite-so-good for the Blue Jays' five top farm teams.

Auburn swept a doubleheader to almost guarantee a playoff spot. Dunedin also won to keep them on place for the playoffs. New Hampshire lost to all but seal their tickets out of town for Tuesday, Syracuse, and Jason Arnold, lost late while Lansing won. Robert Ray was unable to reprise his no-hitter and had to settle for five shutout innings. Cory Patton hit a pair of homers and Davis Romero won again

Whether the results be nameless or scoreless, only a few games were played last night on the farm. Ted Lilly pitched well, and I have some trivia questions for you all...
