Yippee, my turn to write about the disaster that is the Toronto Blue Jays this season. Unlike the big club, tonight was not all doom and gloom as a recovering prospect pitched tonight and pitched mighty well. Buffalo rallied in the ninth for four runs and a come from behind win, however, there was not much hitting after that as New Hampshire was no-hit, Lansing was shutout, and Vancouver and Bluefield scored one run apiece. The affiliates were 3-4 tonight.

By now, one thing is obvious: someone else ought to be handling the game threads.

The affiliates won four out of seven but it could have been seven out of seven. All three losses were of the one-run variety in which the opposition scored the winning run in their final at-bat. On the positive side, the opposition was limited to three runs in the four victories.

One pitcher threw five wild pitches and three players stole home. Speaking of the numbers five and three, that was the record the affiliates posted on Monday.

The affiliates had just two wins. New Hampshire won even though Sea Nolin did not have one of his best starts. Bluefield won with good pitching from Shane Dawson and Chase DeJong and three home runs from the offense.

Three affiliates lost late. Tyler Ybarra lost his control and the game in the tenth inning of a tied game. Vancouver gave up a run in the top of the ninth to lose. The GCL Jays gave up runs in the bottom of the eighth to lose. Elsewhere Buffalo and Lansing were well beaten. Newly drafted Kendall Graveman made his second start but couldn't get out of the first inning.

Drew Hutchison pitched well for Dunedin. Sergio Santos did not do well for Buffalo. Melky had two hits for Buffalo and Moises Sierra had a big hit for the GCL Jays.

There were many outstanding performances on the farm on Friday. Mauro Gomez hit a two run home run in the first inning and that was enough for Justin Germano and the Bisons. Marcus Stroman pitched well, left with the lead, but the game went to extra innings where Brad Glenn homered to give the Fisher Cats the win. In comparison Dunedin took a 6-1 lead and won easily. Lansing won a close game behind another good start from Daniel Norris. Vancouver won with a shutout. Bluefield won both ends of a doubleheader. In game one Dawel Lugo hit a walk off, three run home run. The GCL Jays lost, the only blemish on the day.
