I suppose I could have gone with "2 1 4-3", but that takes us away from a minor league update headline and into an obnoxious text-messaging language. Both Dunedin's and Lansing's playoff games ended with a score of 4-3 -- but who won?

An 8th inning run for Fort Myers was the difference as they take a 1-0 lead over Dunedin in the best of three series.

3 wins in 4 tries for Toronto’s affiliates.
This fall, the Blue Jays will be
contributing players to the Phoenix Desert Dogs instead of the Peoria Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League. Pitchers Kyle Yates, Tracey Thorpe, Jordan De Jong and Danny Hill, along with catcher Curtis Thigpen and infielders Chip Cannon and Ryan Klosterman have been named to the club. Tom Signore will be the Desert Dog pitching coach.
Auburn won both ends of a doubleheader to give them a three game lead with four days left in the season. Dunedin won their final regular season game as they gear up for the playoffs. Syracuse, New Hampshire and Lansing finish their regular seasons today. Both Auburn and New Hampshire are riding seven game win streaks.
Only three teams played, and they all won. Kyle Yates was outstanding for the Fisher Cats but the bullpen had to pitch six more innings before New Hampshire could win. Cory Patton's home run, and Kurt Isenberg's pitching, led Dunedin to victory. Lansing won easy as lead-off hitter went 5-5.
Everyone won except for the Chiefs. Auburn's win kept them 2.5 games ahead in the race for the playoffs with five days left. Hurricane Ernesto could help Auburn over the weekend if many games are lost to the weather. Josh Banks, Orlando Trias, Adrian Martin and Barndon Magee pitched well. Aaron Mathews and Ryan Patterson were the offensive standouts.

A thriller in Syracuse,
Romero and Cannon star for New Hampshire,
Dunedin hits but loses, an
almost-familiar face is at the center of things in West Michigan
and the Doubledays show they can pitch.

Dunedin was rained out, Lansing was (almost) blown out and Pulaski is done for the year. The non-Auburn teams went 1-3; the D-Days swept a doubleheader.

The red hot Adam Lind can now be considered white hot after a 4-4 night including his 24th HR of the year.
Runs were aplenty last night as the affiliates went 2-3.
The Toronto farm splits six.
Only eight days left in the minor league season, other than in Auburn (10 days) and Pulaski (3 days). PUlaski were eliminated from playoff contention over the weekend leaving Auburn, who are in a three way tie for first place, as the only second half hope for the affiliates. Dunedin and Lansing earned playoff spots in the first half. Four wins against one loss for the affiliates on Sunday. Good pitching led Syracuse to victory while New Hampshire, Auburn and Pulaski wielded the lumber.
Penn blew away the Sky Chiefs tonight in Ottawa. He will be in Baltimore shortly.
The farm affiliates went 1-5 on Saturday night.
The farm affiliates swept all seven of their games. The bats boomed,
the pitchers threw strikes, the fielders caught the ball, and all was
right with the world.
...but there was no confusion about it, as the farm affiliates went 5-1 behind some superb pitching and a couple of late rallies. Turnabout is fair play.
