Lansing delivered the only win with a complete performance, lots of hitting and shutdown pitching, a good way to begin the all-star break. Jeff Francis shut out Syracuse through eight innings but the Bisons offense were also shut down. Buffalo lost in the tenth. Lane Thomas had two hits, including a home run, for Vancouver but they lost 2-1. Two Canadians were almost perfect over four relief innings. Nw Hampshire were rained out while Dunedin are still on their all-star break.
One affiliate was able to clinch a playoff spot, one had an off day, and 4 were able to win.
The Blue Jays battle the O's in a Father's Day weekend match-up at the Dome.

Vancouver begins with a romp and Lansing clinches. Your affiliates were 3-2 on the night.

Buffalo and New Hampshire suffered bad losses with multiple blown leads. The Bisons took a lead to the bottom of the ninth and lost. New Hampshire also took a lead to the bottom of he ninth and lost, in thirteen innings. Dunedin won as Matt Dean and Mitch Nay had good games. Lansing won a rain shortened affair and are now two games ahead of Bowling Green for a playoff spot with four games to play.
Let's try this again, shall we? The two teams go at it again for the next two games, this time at the Dome. The Jays trip to Citi Field was a fruitless one, dropping two games by one-run to end an 11-game losing streak and they had to settle for a 3-2 road trip that started with a sweep in Boston.
The Lansing Lugnut Lumber Company provided the majority of the highlights as the affiliates won two of out six Tuesday night.
The affiliates won three of the four games completed on Monday with one game suspended due to rain.
The Toronto Blue Jays wrap up their five-game road trip with two games at Citi Field against the Mets in interleague action. The Mets are in first place in the National League East with a 34-30 mark, a half-game ahead of 33-30 Washington. The Metropolitans bounced back from an extra-innings loss to the Braves by winning the rubber match of their three-game set Sunday afternoon.
Extended spring training is finished for 2015 and I have a copy of the final stats. Lets see who and what stands out.
Matt Boyd's first start in AAA went well but Buffalo lost. His replacements in New Hampshire did not pitch well and lost. Dunedin has suddenly found the lumber, they put up seven in the first inning and cruised to the affiliates only win. Lansing lost, as their playoff chase enters its final week.
An ugly start for Jesus Tinoco turned into a memorable night. Dunedin swept a double header. And a look at possible reinforcements for the stretch run.
Your brief minor league update....
Buffalo had the day off.
New Hampshire won 14-1

The Toronto Blue Jays start a five-game road trip with a week-end set at Fenway Park before heading to New York to face the Mets. The Jays had a day off yesterday to enjoy their eight-game winning streak that has put them at 31-30, three games back of the Yankees in the AL East. The Red Sox were swept in Baltimore and their skipper was
yelled at by yesterday's starter
Wade Miley. Boston is 27-34, which puts them last in the division and seven games off the pace.
