The biggest series of the season - a first-place throwdown and showdown as the Blue Jays look to escape from the Big Apple in first place in the American League East.
The Lugnuts earned a 6-5 decision over the Great Lake Loons in game one of their best of three series. The lead changed hands several times in an exciting game.

The affiliates finished the regular season with a win and two losses on the Labour Day Monday. A much widely anticipated rehab start did not go very well and the only playoff-bound affiliate ended on a losing note. The boys in Double-A saved the day from being a total washout.
The Blue Jays begin a 10-game road trip in Beantown.
Labour Day is a day to avoid work and I took that idea to heart. The Buffalo, New Hampshire and Lansing reports below are from the teams feed. Only the Dunedin and Vancouver are original works. The affiliates won four of five games, only Dunedin lost. Some players are ending on a high note with just Lansing continuing to play past Monday.
