Three losses on Wednesday on the farm. Buffalo did have a lead but the bullpen gave it away. Andy Burns and Jon Berti homered. New Hampshire went down early and made it close with Shane Opitz delivering the big hit but close was not good enough. Lansing lost by a lot. Dunedin were rained out.

Only two games were played on Sunday. Buffalo were rained out and Dunedin had a scheduled day off. New Hampshire won behind stellar pitching from Luis Santos. Lansing also won with Francisco Rios continuing to pitch well. The winning hit for Lansing was a two run triple by Jake Anderson.

Lansing was the sole winner on the farm last night as Sean Reid-Foley exited after three innings of work. Conner Greene is Dunedin was hit around and Dalton Pompey was a late scratch due to injury in Buffalo.

It's been a long time since I did one of these, but the incomparable baseball-reference.com has eliminated much of the heavy lifting that used to be required. (It used to take hours just to discover who'd worn each number for a given team.) Is it OK to bunt to break up a no-hitter? Ian Parmley did that in the sixth inning. Having been no hit in the previous game it was the 15th no hit inning for New Hampshire over two days. It didn't help as the Fisher Cats lost and had just two hits. Buffalo enjoyed a walk off with Domonic Brown driving in the winning run. Lansing had a shutout win behind strong pitching by Angel Perdomo. Dunedin lost easily.

If you were already in a bad mood after the parent club's Tuesday night debacle, the news down on the farm won't help. There was a no-hitter, an extra-innings setback after a blown lead in the ninth and a Bronx Bombing in the Sunshine State. The only positive on the night was a shutout victory.

When you need a three run home run to win a game, Jon Berti is not the first name that comes to mind but he delivered for New Hampshire on Sunday. Dunedin won thinks in part to walks by ex-Jay Jairo Labourt. Christian Lopes had two hits including a home run. Lansing lost despite a good game from Andrew Guillotte. The Bisons also lost when Ryan Tepera had a really bad day.

Over the weekend Sean Ried-Foley, Shane Dawson and Conner Greene had good starts. Tom Robson was wild. Richard Urena came back from a few days off and hit a home run. But the biggest news came when three Dunedin pitchers combined on a no hitter.
