The Vancouver Canadians home opener did not quite go as planned Monday night.
The 2016 Canadians roster is introduced to the sell-out crowd at Nat Bailey Stadium.
The affiliates won three and lost two on Monday. A walk-off win was the highlight, a blowout loss in a home opener was the lowlight.
Three of the four games went to extra innings with the affiliates going 2-1 in the extra inning games. Jio Mier hit a home run to give Buffalo the win. Ryan Hissey delivered the walk-off hit for Lansing. New Hampshire lost to a walk-off hit. Vancouver had an easy win while Dunedin had their all-star break.

The affiliates won four out of six Wednesday night.
The Blue Jays visit the Phillies for the next two nights to finish their four-game stretch against the Broad Street Bullies.
The affiliates won twice in five outings Tuesday with both victories coming against Tampa Bay farm clubs. Two losses came when the opponent scored 11 runs. The other was an extra-innings setback.
A dominant doubleheader sweep and two great season debuts were the highlights of a 4-1 Monday night on the farm.
The Blue Jays take on the Broad Street Bullies of Philadelphia for the next two nights at The Dome before heading to Philly for games Wednesday and Thursday. Barring the unforeseen,
Bo "The Hammer" Schultz will not be appearing for the Jays this week. Maybe
Moose Dupont or
Ed Van Impe will show up instead.

Two Canadian starting pitchers took the mound on Sunday. Shane Dawson pitched very well before his defense cost him. But he still got the win thanks, in part, to Ian Parmley. Tom Robson has had a rough start to 2016 and on this day he was better, not great but better. He did have a lot of base runners but he kept Lansing in the game and left with the lead. Lansing's game went to extra innings where the Lugnuts prevailed. Drew Hutchison started for the Bisons and he too was pretty good. He wasn't "pitch efficient" but he got the job done and with Junior Lake homering the Bisons won. Dunedin had the worst day, losing easily.

Today was the draft. None of the picks look all that exciting to me. Our Jays can’t seem to put teams away. But hey, we still have minor league baseball. Five affiliates were in action tonight and there were two wins to report.
