BA published their top 10 prospects today. As expected Ricky Tiedemann tops the list.

It is the quiet season, particularly for the minor leagues. Your minor league team has started to look at the top 30 list to be published in January and as usual there is great uncertainty at the bottom of the list. So I thought it would be fun to throw out some names that could be on the list, or were on the list last season, to see if there is a box consensus.

The AFL started on Monday with several Blue Jays involved. Damiano Palmegiani had an excellent first game. Ricky Tiedemann is pitching tonight.

The minor league season ended Sunday with a nice 11-6 win for Buffalo. The Bisons hitters had ten hits and continued a trend of good hitting to end the season. The pitching however struggled over the finish line.

The pitching was poor for Buffalo on the second last day of their season. Norfolk had 16 hits including four home runs. The Buffalo hitters picked up ten hits with just one home run.

The Buffalo hitters racked up 12 more hits en route to a win. Ricky Tiedemann wasn't at his best but still kept Norfolk relatively silent through four innings.

Buffalo took a 7-1 lead but had to hang on for a one run win. The Bisons had 15 hits, four for Ernie Clement.

The Bisons had an early lead but could not hold on.

Buffalo took the lead against Scranton four times but still lost in 12 innings. It was not a good day for their bullpen. It wasn't great for the hitters either who struck out 20 times. New Hampshire could only get three hits in their final game of the season. They ended their season with a whimper.

Vancouver Canadians are champions of the Northwest League after a dominant win over Everett. Vancouver were the best team in the NWL this year and deserved to be champs. They won 10-2 with several players having big nights. Buffalo won in then innings while New Hampshire lost.

It was playoff baseball in Vancouver where the home team won a 1-0 game. Vancouver lead 2-1 in their best of five series. Buffalo's bullpen took the loss and deprived Mitch White of the win after an excellent start by him. Ricky Tiedemann had a rough start and took the loss for New Hampshire.

There were just two games on the slate on Thursday. Orelvis Martinez had a big night in Buffalo's win. New Hampshire had a quiet night in their loss.

The only win in the system on Tuesday came from Vancouver in Game 1 of its playoff series in Everett.

Grayson Thurman was recently promoted from Dunedin to New Hampshire. He hadn't really earned a two level promotion but New Hampshire needed help and Vancouver's players are set for the playoffs. Thurman entered the game in the ninth inning with New Hampshire leading by a run but with the lases loaded and no outs. He escaped and New Hampshire won. The Fisher Cat hitters who were hot on Saturday, stayed hot on Sunday. Damiano Palmegiani hit a grand slam to propel Buffalo to a win. Vancouver and Dunedin lost.

Dunedin's season is now finished. Vancouver start their five game playoff series with Everett on Tuesday.
