The draft is almost upon us. Monday is the day for the top picks, followed by numerous picks on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Jays pick late this year although they do have two picks in the first round. The Jays pick at 22 and 28.
The title of tonight's MLU is dedicated to a promotion tomorrow night by our High A affiliate. A worthy promotion. What's your favourite baseball promotion?

They say it's hard to lose a doubleheader, that a split is the most likely outcome. Don't tell that to the Jays, both Buffalo and New Hampshire lost both ends on Wednesday. Lansing saved the day while Dunedin had a day off.
Only two games were played Tuesday and the affiliates came out on the right end of the scoreboard. Rain washed out the games involving the top three farm clubs.
Just one win in three games for the affiliates Monday and it came on the lowest rung on the ladder. New Hampshire and Lansing had the day off.
The Toronto Blue Jays begin the first half of their West Coast road swing with three games in Oakland where they hope to land one or more wins.
Mike Ohlman had five RBI on Sunday, Jason Leblebijian had three hits and Cesar Valdez pitched well. Lansing came from behind in the ninth inning to score three runs and win and they did it without much help in that inning from the usual suspects. Dunedin rallied with two runs in the eighth to take a one run lead. Dan Young was unable to hold the lead and the D Jays lost in 12 innings.
Lansing was the only victor last night on the farm though did they ever mash. 21 hits and 15 runs. Shane Dawson had a nice start at AA New Hampshire and Max Pentecost had a solid night behind the plate and with the bat.

The Damn Yankees descend upon the Dome for a four-game series.
The hot hitters just keep on hitting. Bo Bichette hits another bomb, his sixth. Bradley Jones hit his ninth. Mike Ohlman hit another home run and had three hits in all. Jason Leblebijian had two more hits. Dwight Smith and Vlad Guerrero recorded one each. Conner Greene had an excellent start without recording a fly ball out. One unusual suspect was Richard Urena who had five hits over two games.
Two losses and a victory on the farm Tuesday. New Hampshire's game in Reading was rained out.
The three affiliates could not beat anyone on Monday. Dunedin had the night off.
Yesterday's Red Jays host the Redlegs for a three-game set at the Dome.

Bo Bichette had a walk off single on Sunday. The Fisher Cats had two walks off wins over the weekend. There were many very good pitching performances over the last three days, too many to mention here. Read on for more details.
