The Bisons once again could only score one run. It took a Dunedin call up to drive in that one run. After losing 4-1 on Thursday, the Bisons lost 5-1 on Friday. Eric Pardinho continues to pitch well.

NOTES

Andrew Bash threw two perfect innings to start the game. Paxton Schultz followed and Scranton scored three off him over 3.2 innings. Bash and Schultz are two of the key pitchers for Buffalo. They can start, relieve or close. Bash did have some time on the IL this season but he threw 78.2 innings with an ERA of 2.97. Schultz has thrown 92 innings with an ERA of 4.11. You need guys like Bash, Schultz and Luis Quinones on your team to be able to handle any situation. On Friday Bash was named the Bisons most valuable pitcher.

Eric Pardinho got four outs in the game. Pardinho had a rough introduction to AAA. He gave up ten runs over his first six appearances. He settled down but then had another rough spell with twelve runs allowed over five appearances in late July and early August. But he has not allowed a run over his last ten appearances. He is finishing the season on a positive.

The Bisons only run came in the third inning, Riley Tirotta and Braden Barry both doubled. Barry also singled in the fifth inning, he was the only hitter with two hits. Former Blue Jay Thomas Pannone held the Bisons to just one run over 6.1 innings.

IMO Bash deserves the 2nd star for 2 perfect innings. Kind of surprised he never got a look given how many really bad pitchers got a shot in the pen this year.

The 8 guys who pitched in the most games for the Jays had 3 with ERA+'s over 100, 1 was released (Mayza), 2 traded (Pearson & Richards), Little was acquired for cash in the offseason, Pop has have the 2nd most games on the team and was seen as about 10th or so on the depth chart when the season started and hasn't pitched well (71 ERA+, 5.39 FIP), etc. So why didn't Bash get a shot I wonder. Low K's (vs league), high BB probably.
