NOTES
Buffalo were down 1-0 in the third but tied the game right away in the top of the fourth. Josh Kasevich doubled, Jon Clase singled and the run scored on a ground out by Damiano Palmegiani. The game remained tied into the seventh. In that inning Steward Berroa singled and scored on a double by Bo Bichette. Alan Roden followed with a two run home run, his ninth and the Bisons led 4-1. That was all the runs they needed. Kasevich once again led the offense with two hits.
Trenton Wallace went five innings. Just one run scored off him from one hit and three walks. He struck out three. Four relievers pitched an inning each.
New Hampshire outhit Somerset 7-4 but walks were the difference in the game. Michael Dominguez started for NH and he walked the lead off hitter in the second inning. That was followed shortly afterwards with a two run home run. Dominguez again walked the lead off hitter in the third. A double and a sac fly made it three runs for Somerset. Dominguez was pulled in the fourth with the three runs on his record.
The Fisher Cats scored the first run of the game. Dasan Brown singled, moved to second on a balk, stole third and scored when Charles McAdoo singled. That was it for New Hampshire's scoring. Gabriel Martinez and Charles McAdoo each had two hits.
Grant Rogers got the game four start for Vancouver and the game was scoreless through three innings. The C's scored first in the top of the fourth. Brennan Orf doubled to score Jackson Hornung. Spokane got that right back, top prospect Charlie Condon singled in the tying run. The game remained tied at one all through nine innings. Rogers was excellent, 6.1 innings, one run allowed on five hits with no walks. He struck out five.
In the tenth inning Orf singled to move the runner to third and Jace Bohrofen hit a sac fly. Geison Urbaez came on to try and mail down the save. The first Spokane hitter laid down a bunt and he reached putting runners on first and third. The next hitter hit it to Peyton Williams who tried to make the out at first and throw home but could do neither allowing the tying run to score and leaving runners on second and third. Spokane were then able to carry out a double steal so the C's walked the next batter to load the bases and setup a force at home. That strategy was rendered null and void when Urbaez hit the batter for a walk off, championship winning, hit by pitch.
