Vancouver Canadians
The Vancouver Canadians tied their Northwest League Championship Series 1-1 on Wednesday against the Spokane Indians with a 4-3 win.
Juaron Watts-Brown allowed a solo home run in the first but finished the game with five strong innings that included ten strikeouts, one walk and two earned runs.
Strong nights from Adrian Pinto who had three hits and a walk, Brennan Orf who had a key two RBI single in the sixth inning, and Jay Harry with two runs and two hits helped key Vancouver’s offence.
The Canadians now travel to Spokane for games Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
There is no announced Canadians starter for Game Three on Friday. Game time is 6:35 pm.
New Hampshire Fisher CatsThe New Hampshire Fisher Cats were 8-2 losers Wednesday to the Somerset Patriots.
Somerset used four first inning runs to take a commanding lead in this game and held a 6-0 lead by the end of the fourth.

Buffalo BisonsThe Buffalo Bisons won 6-3 in 11 innings on Wednesday over the Gwinnett Stripers.
The game was deadlocked at 1-1until extra innings when Riley Tirotta’s double scored Rafael Lantigua. Tirotta later scored on wild pitch but the Stripers pushed across two of their own in their half of the tenth.
Rafael Lantigua’s double in the 11th started a three run outburst for the Bisons, who managed to shut down the Gwinnett for their half of the inning and secure the win.
The Bisons and Stripers play again today with game time at 7:05PM ET.
