Notes

Damiano Palmegiani drilled two homers with a sacrifice fly and drove in five runs for the Herd. Alan Roden also went yard among his two hits. Josh Kasevich singled in the first run of the game, doubled home another and had a sac fly and drew a pair of walks. All nine Bisons had at least one hit. Jake Bloss worked around two hits and four walks in four shutout innings, striking out five. Paxton Schultz struck out two in two innings for the win. Eric Pardinho, Hagen Danner and Braydon Fisher pitched a clean inning apiece with Danner and Fisher fanning two apiece.

Robert Brooks had the lone RBI and extra-base hit with a double as the winning run scored on an error. Dasan Brown had two hits and a stolen base and Josh Rivera also had two hits. Lazaro Estrada allowed just one run on five hits and a walk while striking out seven. Hunter Gregory struck out four over two shutout frames for the hold. Ryan Jennings struck out one in a one-hit ninth for the save. Estrada threw 54 of his 75 pitches for strikes, Gregory was 17 for 21 and Jennings was 10 for 14.

Je'Von Ward whacked a three-run homer and added an RBI double in the eighth to cap off a four-run rally that featured four doubles. Adrian Pinto punched one over the wall and had a single. Peyton Williams drove in the tying and winning runs with a two-run double as part of a two-hit night. Jackson Hornung was the hit leader with three, including an RBI double. Ryan Watson was roughed up for five runs in 5-1/3 innings on 11 hits but struck out six and walked nobody. Alex Amalfi stranded a Watson runner and fanned four over 2-2/3 shutout innings. Bo Bonds was perfect in the ninth for the save. The magic number for Monty's Mounties to clinch a playoff spot is down to two.

Juaron Watts-Brown has given up four home runs in two innings so far tonight. It doesn't look like Vancouver will be lowering their magic number tonight unless they get help elsewhere.
