NOTES

Three runs on seven hits for the Bisons. Alan Roden hit a two run home run in the second inning. He also singled. Roden is hitting .400 in August after hitting .279 in July. Phil Clarke singled to drive in the eventual winning run in the fifth.

Buffalo held Rochester to four hits. Trenton Wallace went 3.2 innings. He had trouble with the zone, 48 strikes and 39 balls leading to four walks. He did concede a two run home run. Three relievers pitched very well. Braydon Fisher got four outs, Hayden Juenger was perfect in two inning while Brandon Eisert pitched the last two innings.

Vancouver had 16 hits including two home runs. They were also helped by some dodgy defending by Eugene. Nick Goodwin had a two run home run in the fourth and Jace Bohrofen a three run shot in the seventh. Bohrofen had a big night, 4-6 with six RBI. Jackson Hornung and Adrian Pinto each had three hits, Cutter Coffey and Brennan Orf two each.

Connor O'Halloran has been struggling recently but he righted the ship somewhat on Thursday. He went five innings and gave up three runs. Not great but an improvement.

The Dunedin game was a pitchers duel with the hits being 5-4 through nine innings. Dunedin scored two runs in the seventh to tie the game. Eddie Micheletti doubles in a run and the tying run scored on an error. Micheletti had two hits as did Arjun Nimmala. He had a single and a triple, both hits came off the bat at over 100 mph.

Daniel Guerra spent most of the season in the FCL but this was his second start for Dunedin and it went better than his first. He went five innings and just allowed an unearned run. He struck out five. His fastball averaged 92 but varied from 95 to 88. That variation suggests issues with his delivery.

In the tenth inning Palm Beach had two hits to score two runs, Dunedin had zero hits to score zero runs. Simple game isn't it?

The 3 top stars are all guys who were already in organization but are looking much better. Roden has a .976 OPS in his last 28 days. Bohrofen has a ,796 OPS in last 28 days, and Pinto has just been on fire since getting to Vancouver. System looking a lot deeper now. Just need some more pitching and some of the prospects to become potential stars instead of potential major leaguers.

Cam Eden has been traded/sold to the Yankees for cash. With Clase on the roster the Bisons didn't need two speedy centre fielders.

Was wondering what they were going to do with Eden. He was like 9th on their OF depth chart and they needed to free up more abs in AAA.

Somewhere there is a joke involving Eden moving to the Big Apple.

It would be nice if Pinto could get some games in. He has only managed 11 so far this season.

good. i was getting frustrated that they kept forcefeeding playing time to Eden when he was unplayably bad all season long.

Would be cool for all involved if he ends up on the Yankees playoffs roster.

Nick Mitchell with his second HR, a long opposite field shot. Maybe he has more power than advertised?
