NOTES
With the six game series that is used in the minor leagues now, often one pitcher faces the other team on a Tuesday and again on a Sunday. This week it was Aaron Sanchez who had the task of facing Syracuse twice. Sanchez was charged with eight runs on Tuesday in less than three innings so prospects were not good heading into Sunday's game. In the spirit of you never know, Sanchez went seven innings and held Syracuse to two runs with just one hit.
Gabriel Cancel is making a big first impression. He homered again for the second day in a row. He also singled. Phil Clarke had three hits and drove in three runs.
New Hampshire had four hitters come to the plate before the rains descended and the game was called.
Vancouver won again sweeping the six game series against Hillboro, a very unusual feat. It ran their winning streak to nine games. Peyton Williams was 3-3 with a sac fly and drove in two runs. Jace Bohrofen doubled twice and scored two runs.
Rafael Sanchez went 6.1 innings and struck out eight. Hillsboro scored two runs off him.
Dunedin's game was shortened by rain to five and a half innings. James Kaprelian made another rehab start for the D Jays. He went four shutout innings.
Nicolas Descahamps singled in the first two runs in the third. A Victor Arias force out scored the third run while Arjun Nimmala's double scored Arias. Arias doubled in the fifth run.
