Damiano Palmegiani hit his 10th home run of the year and was hit by a pitch. Rafael Lantigua had two of the five Buffalo hits. Leo Jiménez and Cam Eden had the others. Phil Clarke walked and stole a base. Miguel Hiraldo drew a walk and scored a run in his Bisons debut. Aaron Sánchez was annihilated for eight runs in 2-2/3 innings. Eric Pardinho allowed an inherited runner to score but pitched 1-2/3 shutout innings. Connor Cooke had a clean ninth.
Ryan McCarty mashed a leadoff homer, his fourth since joining New Hampshire FC. He had a two-hit night as did Josh Kasevich and Rainer Nuñez with Kasevich getting a double and Nuñez collecting a pair of RBI singles. Zach Britton had a two-run double and Devonte Brown had a two-run triple. Gabby Martinez had a double and Cade Doughty went 1-for-5 in his Double-A debut. Devereuax Harrison delivered six shutout innings of two-hit ball, walking nobody and striking out four to get the win. Eight of his 11 outs were on the ground, Braydon Fisher gave up a run in two innings but struck out two. Juan Nuñez was nicked for the other run but fanned two.
Lazaro Estrada is pitching like a man who does not want to be in Vancouver for much longer. The reigning Northwest League Pitcher of the Week delivered seven shutout innings again by scattering four hits and two walks while striking out seven. Grayson Thurman struck out one in the eighth for the hold and Conor Larkin brought it home by fielding a comebacker to the mound before striking out the last two hitters in a perfect ninth for the save. The C's had just two hits, both of them by Jommer Hernández and he added a walk. Marcos De La Rosa pinch-ran for Hernández in the eighth and eventually stole third before scoring on a Jamari Baylor sac fly. The first run came four innings earlier when Peyton Williams walked and eventually came home on a Je'Von Ward sacrifice fly. Jace Bohrofen walked and took one for the team. He stole his fifth base of the year.
The D-Jays rallied from a 4-0 deficit to find the win column. Jean Joseph and Tucker Toman had two hits apiece with Joseph contributing an RBI double and Toman producing a sacrifice fly. Robert Robertis had a sacrifice fly and drove in the winning run with a double. Edward Duran was 1-for-3 with two walks and stole his 10th base of the year. Victor Arias had a walk but Manuel Beltran was 0-for-5. Gage Stanifer gave up four runs in three innings on five hits and three walks but struck out four. Juanmi Vazquez was the winning pitch by working around one hit and four walks over three shutout innings, striking out three. Eliander Alcade got the hold with 2-2/3 innings of scoreless relief. Yondrei Rojas stranded the potential tying run by recording the final out and collecting the save.
The F-Jays had just four hits. Braden Berry, Arjun Nimmala, Faruk De La Cruz and Maykel Minoso were the only ones to reach base with Minoso earning a walk. Joey Votto was 0-for-1. Kenny Rojas scattered four base runners (two hits, one walk, one HBP) over three shutout innings, fanning five. Ryan Watson was ripped for six runs over 5-1/3 to take the loss.
Yorman Licourt and Ramon Flores were on base three times apiece with Licourt getting a hit and two walks and Flores picking up an RBI double, a walk and a hit by pitch. Endry Reyes doubled home two and took one for the team. Esmeiquel Arrieche put the Jays ahead with a two-run knock. The Sotos—Juarlin and Randy—each had a base hit with the former getting plunked and the latter drawing a walk. Silvano Hechavarria was one short of qualifying for the win as he allowed one run on three hits and a walk and struck out five. The win went to Victor Espiritu who tossed a scoreless stanza, working around two hits and a walk thanks to two strikeouts.
