NOTES

The Bisons picked up 12 hits and eleven runs in three innings before the rains came. Will Robertson and Riley Tirotta hit solo home runs, Leo Jimenez hit a two run home run. Steward Berroa doubled twice. This game will be continued on Saturday.

On the other end of the scale New Hampshire had four hits in nine innings. They did score two runs primarily due to a double from Devonte Brown. That was one of their four hits. CJ Van Eyk has lost the good form he was in a month ago. He lasted 3.1 innings and gave up five runs on eight hits.

Peyton Williams had a big night. In addition to his game winning home run, he singled, walked twice and drove in three runs. The C's scored four runs in the fourth inning. After loading the bases one run scored on a wild pitch, two on ground outs and one on a double by Nick Goodwin. Dylan Rock and Jamari Baylor had two hits each.

Chris McElvain was the starter. He only went three innings giving up four runs. It was up to the bullpen to bring it home.

The Dunedin game went to extra innings and was decided on a balk. Daytona scored a run in the top of the tenth on a balk and the D Jays couldn't get a run across in the bottom of the inning. Fernando Perez started for the Jays and he was undone by two home runs, a two run shot and a three run shot. Both were first pitches right down the middle. He only gave up one other hit through 5.1 innings and he struck out seven.

The Jays outhit Daytona 10-6 but they didn't have a home run. Victor Arias went 3-5 with one hit a double. Tucker Toman had two hits.

Arjun Nimmala returned to the FCL after ten games away. He had two true outcomes, two walks and a strikeout. He was pulled after three at-bats which suggests he is returning from an injury.

Nimmala has very odd numbers in a sss. 80% of the time he walks or K's. Hardly any balls in play. Interested to see how this changes.

I haven't paid much attention to Trenton Wallace.  But, youneverknow.  He's a 25 year old left-hander who is in the midst of passing the double A test- excellent K rate, decent W rate, excellent ERA.  He's the kind of pitcher you might start in the big-league pen. The Blue Jays have a few of those, and a desperate need for a long-man in the pen.
