NOTES
A six run eight inning was the key for the Bisons. The first two runs prior to the eighth were scored with the help of errors by Worcester. In the eighth Riley Tirotta doubled in a run. The Bisons were also helped by four walks in the inning. The big hit was a three run double by Michael Turconi. Buffalo scored eight runs with six hits. Nine walks helped keep the line moving.
Nick Fraze made the spot start and went 4.1 scoreless innings.
CJ Van Eyk came into this game off a couple of bad starts. He got through the first two innings but the leadoff hitters in the third and fourth inning took him over the wall. He put two on to start the fifth and then left. Hunter Gregory came on and he too gave up a home run making four earned runs for Van Eyk. New Blue Jay Braydon Fisher came on for the seventh. He recorded the first two outs then a Rainer Nunez error put a runner on. Fisher hit the next batter and then gave up a double. It should have been a three up, three down inning but he was charged with three unearned runs.
Seven hits for the Fisher Cats, Alex De Jesus had two.
In Vancouver's first game they were out hit 9-3 although they only lost by one run. Vancouver scored three runs in the fifth inning without a hit. Hit batters, a walk, passed ball, errors led to the three runs.
Vancouver got one more hit, four, in the second game. They did fail to score however. Peyton Williams had two hits. Chris McElvain went 5.2 shutout innings and struck out seven. Reliever Johnathan Lavallee made an error on the first hitter in extra innings and that led to a run scoring.
Dunedin resumed the game that was suspended by rain on Thursday. Bradenton scored six runs in the seventh inning and the Jays had just four hits.
Dunedin took revenge in game two scoring ten runs with ten hits. Victor Arias was the star. He hit two home runs, a solo one and a grand slam. He added two singles which drove in three more runs giving him eight RBI in the game. Jean Joseph and Christian Feliz had two hits each.
Fernando Perez pitched a two hit shutout over five innings. He struck out four.
The FCL Jays lost but did have 15 hits. Kendry Chirinos was 3-4 with two doubles. He was also hit by a pitch.
