Yariel Rodriguez scatted three hits and one walk over four shutout innings, striking out 10 over 67 pitches, 46 of them for strikes. Paxton Schultz gave up two runs (one earned) and fanned three over 3-1/3 innings. Brandon Eisert stranded a runner and earned the win with 1-2/3 scoreless stanzas in which he struck out two. The Herd had just four hits but one of them was an Addison Barger infield single to walk it off. Barger also drew two walks and stole a base. Orelvis Martinez and Brian Serven had RBI singles. Damiano Palmegiani and Cam Eden walked with Eden stealing his 21st base.
Rainer Nuńez hit a solo homer, drew a bases-loaded walk and stole second base on the back end of an Alex De Jesús stealing home. Josh Kasevich had a double, a single and a plunk while De Jesús, Alan Roden and Devonte Brown all put one notch in the hit column. Michael Dominguez worked around one hit and five walks with four strikeouts over five shutout innings for the win. Trevor Clifton, Andrew Bechtold, Justin Kelly and Ryan Boyer finished out the game with only Bechtold giving up a run. Boyer struck out two to pick up the save.
Lazaro Estrada gave up just one run on four hits and struck out nine without a walk but was charged with the loss. Grayson Thurman and Anders Tolhurst put up two goose eggs apiece with Thurman striking out three. Jackson Hornung had two hits. The other singles came from Jommer Hernández, Estiven Machado and Jean Arnaez. Jamari Baylor drew a walk and was plunked. Jace Bohrofen, Nick Goodwin and Peyton Williams were a combined 0-for-12. Marcos De La Rosa joined the club from New Hampshire and pinch-ran for Hornung in the ninth inning. Dasan Brown is expected to miss some time as he was drilled in the ribs by a pitch in Everett on Sunday. Glenn Santiago played center field for the C's on Tuesday.
