NOTES

Aaron Sanchez still hasn't found "it". After allowing five runs in 3.1 innings he is sporting a 13.50 ERA for Buffalo. He is giving them innings but thats about it. While St Paul had 13 hits, the Bisons had just three, all singles. In case you hadn't noticed, Damiano Palmegiani went on the IL a few days ago.

New Hampshire also were singles hitters, seven singles for them. Michael Turconi and Phil Clarke had two hits each, Clarke also stole two bases. Alan Roden also stole two, he got on base three times with a hit and two walks.

Devereaux Harrison was ambushed in the first inning, the first three hitters had hits, he also walked a hitter and NH were 3-0 down before they hit. Harrison was fine after that, he held Somerset off the board over his next four innings. Harrison struck out five in five innings. Trevor Clifton took the loss, Eric Pardinho threw to more shutout innings.

The Vancouver game was a pitchers contest, the C's had three hits in ten innings for the win. Hillsboro had five hits. Rafael Sanchez was excellent, he went six innings, five hits, one run and six K's. The C's first run came from a bases loaded walk. The winning run came from two ground ball outs to score the ghost runner.

Two C's notes. Dasan Brown was hit by a pitch and removed from the game. And Connor O'Halloran has been promoted from Dunedin to Vancouver.

Alexis Hernandez hit his first home run of the season on Friday. He hit his second on Saturday on his was to a 4-5 game. He drove in three runs. The hits raised his batting average above .200.

Nolan Perry started, went two innings, and allowed three runs. Two of them were unearned as Perry missed a play at first base. He was followed by Juanmi Vasquez who held Bradenton hitless over 3.2 innings.

Connor O'Halloran has been promoted from Dunedin up to Vancouver with righthander Geison Urbaez going on the 7-day injured list. Outfielder Jaden Rudd is also on the 7-Day IL.

Dasan Brown was beaned above the bill of the batting helmet on Saturday and was replaced by Jace Bohrofen in center. Bohrofen made a nice diving catch in the eighth inning and his RBI groundout in the 10th scored the winning run on an 0-2 pitch. Jommer Hernández put an 0-2 pitch into play with a 4-3 groundout to advance Machado to third before Machado came around to score.

Y Rodriguez is starting for Buffalo today. Green played and should be ready soon.

I don't like calling our prospects flawed. So maybe useful but not dominating in Tiedemann fashion when heathy. Including last night in the no longer SSS the following players are close to needing a AAA challenge. Pardhino, D Harrison, Kacevich, Roden and P Clarke who all played last night. Clarke is supposed have good D. Having some difficulty is ok to me because Bo had to adjust to AA & AAA on his way up. Of course Bo was a HS pick.
