NOTES

Buffalo had nine hits across two games. Yosver Zulueta threw three shutout innings in game two. This was an improvement but he walked three and needed 64 pitches, 31 strikes and 33 balls. Zulueta has been consistently wild in his starting role. I am not sure if switching him to the bullpen would help his command. Hayden Juenger pitched two good innings in relief, just one walk. He threw 32 pitches which could rule him out of getting an injury call-up.

As mentioned above Ricky Tiedemann left his game with an injury. Before the injury Tiedemann gave up two runs in the third inning. Two ground ball singles were followed by a sac bunt, a balk and a third single. His line was 3.2 innings, 3 hits, one walk, 3 K's and two runs.

New Hampshire had only two hits in game one and then scored eight runs in the first inning of game two. Orelvis had the biggest hit, a three RBI triple. He added a two run home run in the sixth for a five RBI night. The Fisher Cats had 13 hits, plenty to spread around. Will Robertson had three hits which raised his average to .170.

Jimmy Robbins started game two. In a continuation of his early season struggles he gave up five hits and four walks in his four innings.

Adam Macko had his best start of the season for Vancouver. He held Hillsboro hitless through four innings with six strikeouts. He walked the lead off hitter in the fifth. That was followed by a bunt single and a line drive single to load the bases. Two ground ball outs scored two runs. Eric Pardinho came on for the sixth. He hit a batter and gave up a two run home run.

Devonte Brown is a hot hitter right now. He had two more hits and is hitting .324.

Dunedin hitters came up with 15 hits, all singles. Peyton Williams was 4-5.

Rafael Sanchez had a down night by his stands, two runs allowed on six hits in six innings.

Peyton Williams seems to have picked things up lately

Williams has a bit of a Vladdy issue in that he hits the ball hard a lot but also hits way too many ground balls (and he's far slower than Guerrero).

Hiraldo and Jimenez turned a nice DP yesterday.  Jimenez has started to hit, but the power hasn't returned yet.  He turns 22 in a couple of weeks and he's in double A.

You have to squint to see the positives so far this year from the prospects.

Orelvis for example had a better K rate for April compared to last year. For May 1K in 11ABs.

Z Britton 10/10 bb/K. Palmegaini 21/19.

All 3 are supposed to have good power.

Scott Mitchell reports that the doctors found nothing structural in Tiedemann's injury but he will have an MRI tomorrow to make sure.
