I had mentioned previously that Gregory Polanco was rounding into form after a slow start. Well, he rounded into two home runs on Friday including a walk off three run home run for the win. In total he drove in five runs. The other two runs came via a two run sacrifice fly. It came when Cavan Biggio hit a ball to deep centre field. Micky Moniak, playing centre for Lehigh Valley caught the ball going backwards and ran into the wall. Mallex Smith strolled home from third but Forrest Wall motored home from second and just beat the relay throw that was slightly off line.
Lehigh Valley 4 Buffalo 7
Bowden Francis started for the Bisons and gave up all four runs. In five innings LHV had six hits and two walks. Four relievers pitched an inning each and between them only allowed two hits.
The Bisons first two runs came on Polanco's first home run in the sixth. Cavan Biggio scored ahead of Polanco. Biggio's two run sac fly came in the seventh. In the ninth Otto Lopez, singled, Biggio walked setting the stage for Polano's walk off.
Polanco had three hits on the night, Lopez had two. Biggio was 1-3 with a walk, a sac fly and two runs scored.
