The Bisons went to the bottom of the ninth trailing 4-2 in the second playoff game. They scored two in the ninth to tie the game and then loaded the bases in the bottom of the tenth with a walk, a hit batter and the designated runner. Cullen Large struck out but Gregory Polanco singled in the winning run.

Lehigh Valley 4 Buffalo 5 - 10 innings

As mentioned, the Bisons came into the ninth trailing 4-2. Santiago Espinal doubled, Tyler White walked and, after a double steal, Christian Colon singled to score both runners and tie the game.

Jacob Barnes was great in the tenth, not allowing the runner on second to score. That set the stage for Polanco to drive in the winning run.

Nick Allgeyer started for the Bisons and pitched well. He walked the first two hitters in the second and one of them scored but that was about it. He went five innings with just one hit and three walks on his record. He was replaced by Fitz Stadler who entered the game with a 2-1 lead. But Stadler gave up a couple of long balls in his only inning of work and departed with the Bisons now trailing 3-2. Otto Lopez made an error on the first hitter of the ninth and that runner came around to score Lehigh's fourth run. The pitcher was Trent Thornton.

The Bisons first two runs came in the third. Juan Graterol led off with a single. Nash Knight walked. After a sacrifice a ground out from Cavan Biggio scored one and Santiago Espinal singled in the second.

Espinal, Polanco and Colon were the Bisons hitters who had two hits each.

For 2022 K Smith & O Lopez are ready for the Majors now. How much they play is hard to say. Injuries will give them a chance and the competition to out duel are Biggio and Espinal. If a better player than Biggio/Espinal is acquired then their competition is much tougher. Moreno will enter ST as close to ready (2 months in AAA ?).

Other reasonable successes this year in AA are Groshans, Taylor, V Capra and C Young. Some could do well enough to get a call to the Majors.
