Buffalo had to go eleven innings to extend their win streak to eight games. They started the week in second place but had a five game lead by the end of the week. Dunedin played ten innings but lost. Vancouver won in nine innings while New Hampshire's games were cancelled due to COVID.

Buffalo 9 Scranton 6 - 11 innings

Portland at New Hampshire - DH postponed due to COVID rules

Vancouver 7 Everett 4

Palm Beach 10 Dunedin 9 - 10 innings

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

In Buffalo Gregory Polanco homered in the eighth to tie the game and send it to extras. The Bisons then scored three in the eleventh for the win. Otto Lopez was 4-6, Richard Urena and Cullen Large were each 3-5.

Nick Allgeyer went five innings with three runs allowed. Julian Merryweather faced three hitters before leaving, he struck out the first hitter, then hit Jonathan Davis with a pitch and the next hitter doubled.

Phil Clarke homered for the second day in a row and finished 3-5. Andres Guerra hit his first home run Spencer Horwitz extended his hit streak with two doubles. Tanner Morris's hit streak ended with an 0-4.

Paxton Schultz started and went 5.2 innings.

In Dunedin Steward Berroa was 3-5 including his sixth home run and a double. He also stole his 50th base. New rules for pitcher pickoff attempts has made stealing in A ball a lot easier this year. Riley Tirotta hit his first home run among his two hits. Addison Bargar was 2-5 with a double.

Three Stars

Third Star - Steward Berroa and Phil Clarke

Second Star - Otto Lopez

First Star - Richard Urena

Feels like the milb season just keeps on chugging along here. Is it over this weekend per usual or has covid altered the normal schedule?

What's the injury status of Moreno? Really wish they got more of a look at him at third base this year.

It’s going to run most of September for Buffalo as they are in the playoffs. Helps the Jays keep a shorter pen because they can swap out relievers for guys throwing well down there. Saucedo and Baker will have to fight off Borucki, Merryweather, and Stripling.

Two weeks to go for most teams. Remember the season started a month late due to COVID.

Moreno was supposed to be getting close to a return. The Arizona fall league is on this year so he should go there to get at-bats, although he will likely also play winter ball.

buffalo's Schedule is here - shows their final game October 3rd in Syracuse (fighting for last place - guess being a Mets affiliate isn't as good as they hoped it would be). Easy schedule to finish the year for Buffalo - 6 vs Syracuse this week, next week is 7 vs Rochester, then 5 vs Lehigh Valley, before a final 5 vs Syracuse. Buffalo is currently 5 up on Scranton & Worchester. Syracuse & Rochester are the bottom 2 teams in the division (42-63 and 43-61 respectively) while Lehigh Valley is middle of the division but well under 500 (48-58). Scranton is the Yankee farm team, Worchester the Red Sox.

John, it's Worcester. Pronounced Wustah in Boston and environs.

Thanks John for the schedule. Is there playoffs OR is the top team the champion? New rules due to covid.

Jordan Groshans has been placed on the IL backdated to Sept 5.

Groshans seem fragile a bit. That is the next concept I need to learn about from the Bauxites.
