The Blue Jays affiliates posted a 2-3 record on Wednesday. Buffalo's doubleheader in Syracuse was rained out and Dunedin's game against Fort Myers was suspended due to wet grounds.

Chavez Young had an RBI single in the first inning and a home run in the eighth to help the Fisher Cats slip by the Rockies affiliate. Jordan Groshans also connected for a solo shot and added a double. Both Young and Groshans have six dingers on the year. Kevin Vicuña and Ryan Gold singled and walked. Samad Taylor had a base hit.
Luis Quinones earned his first Double-A win with five shutout innings, scattering one hit and four walks and striking out nine. Sean Rackoski gave up a run in the sixth. Graham Spraker had one of two Rackoski runners score on his watch but he retired all six men he faced, striking out three over two innings. Adrian Hernandez allowed a run in the ninth on a hit and a walk in the ninth. He threw four wild pitches but struck out the side to earn the save.
Tri-City 6 Vancouver 3
The C's led 3-0 after three innings but the Rockies affiliate used a five-run fourth to win their second in a row. Spencer Horwitz enjoyed his second straight four-hit night and opened the scoring with an RBI single. Sebastian Espino swatted his eighth homer of the year, a two-run shot in the third to score a Tanner Morris single. Morris and Philip Clarke had two hits apiece. Rafael Lantigua singled and walked. Eric Rivera walked twice, stole a base but was also caught stealing. Orelvis Martinez went 0-for-5 and is now hitting .193 since joining Monty's Mounties.
Sem Robberse pitched three shutout innings of one-hit ball before things fell apart in the fourth. His throwing error—combined with a Martinez misfire at short—led to three unearned runs out of five. Robberse was rocked for five hits and four walks over 3-2/3 innings but struck out six. Andrew Bash stranded the bases loaded for Robberse but gave up a run over 2-1/3 innings, whiffing three. Hayden Juenger rung up three batters over two perfect innings. Thomas Ruwe overcame two walks and struck out one in a shutout ninth in his Vancouver debut.

Merryweather struck out the Twins 2020 first rounder Aaron Sabato on three pitches before J.J. D'Orazio threw out a runner trying to steal second to end the inning. Merryweather was topping out at 95-96 miles per hour. Alejandro Melean gave up a solo home run but struck out three over two frames.
Miguel Hiraldo had the lone hit with his 19th double of the year.
FCL Tigers West 9 FCL Blue Jays 6
The F-Jays blew a 6-0 lead in this one as the lead melted away in the middle innings. Marcos De La Rosa and Angel Del Rosario had two-run doubles. De La Rosa also walked and stole three bases while Del Rosario added a single, two walks and two stolen bases to go with his double. Damiano Palmegiani and Emmanuel Sanchez singled and walked. Adriel Sotolongo doubled and Quebecer J.C. Masson heard ball four once.
Colton Laws opened the game with a three-up, three-down first inning that included a strikeout. Southpaw Kendry Rojas gave up a run on four hits but struck out six over four innings. Geison Urbaez was blitzed for seven runs over 1-1/3 innings. Jimmy Burnette allowed two Urbaez runners to cross the plate in two-thirds of an inning. Edgar Castro pitched a shutout ninth.
DSL Padres 8 DSL Blue Jays 5 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)
The Dom-Jays managed just four hits in this one. Leadoff man Luis Garcia singled, walked, drove in three runs and stole his seventh base of the year. He's hitting .353 so far. Victor Arias and Yeuni Munoz each had a base hit and base on balls. Manuel Beltre walked twice and took one for the team.
Lefty Johan Simon opened with a shutout first, giving up a hit and striking out one and Pedro Munoz got the final two outs and stranded the bases loaded in the seventh. Pedro Acosta allowed three runs in 3-1/3 innings to take the loss. Keiner Leon gave up three more in 1-1/3 innings and Gabriel Ochoa was charged with two runs while getting just one out.
DSL Blue Jays 7 DSL Padres 3 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)
Jean Arnaez led the Jays offence with a two-run single in the first and a two-run triple in the fifth and stole a base. Francisco Fajardo doubled twice, stole a base twice and walked. Manuel Beltre doubled home a run and drew a walk. Victor Arias singled, walked and pilfered a bag and Luis Garcia had a base hit and a swipe.
Eliander Alcalde yielded two runs on four hits and had a K/BB total of two apiece. Nathanael Perez was the winner with two innings of one-run ball. Sergio Caruci gave up no runs in the seventh.
