This is what I noted from yesterday's games.
The Bisons scored nine without a home run. He middle and bottom of the order were responsible for most of the runs. Nash Knight was 2-3 with a double and three RBI. Richard Urena, Cullen Large and Otto Lopez also had two hits each. Kevin Smith was the only hitter who didn't have a hit.
Thomas Hatch gave up three runs in the first inning but was excellent for the next five. He struck out nine.
Home runs from LJ Talley and Demi Orimoloye paced the Fisher Cats to a 5-0 lead. Starter Reilly Hovis allowed four runs and then the bullpen did the rest of the damage. Emerson Jimenez was charged with five runs without getting an out.
Samad Taylor went 2-4 with a double and a triple. Talley also had two hits. Jordan Groshans had a double in three at-bats.
CJ Van Eyk needed 80 pitched to get through four innings. He was charged with three runs and three hits. One run was unearned as Orelvis made his first error. Hagen Danner was the only pitched with zero runs allowed, he threw two innings.
Andres Guerra had three hits but didn't feature in the scoring. Luis De Los Santos and Zac Cook each hit solo home runs. Cook added a triple, De Los Santos a single. Orelvis was 1-3 with a walk but was caught stealing.
Naswell Paulino threw a six inning no hitter with two walks and eight K's. The short lefty seems to be hitting a groove. He also pitched very well in late May and June. His first two starts in July were not great but he pitched well since the middle of July. Justin Kelly gave up the only hit in the seventh.
Addison Bargar homered and singled and drove in two. Riley Tirotta and Justin Ammons had two hits each.
