This is what I noted from yesterday's games.
The Bisons fought back from a 7-0 deficit and tied the game in the ninth inning. But after scoring one in the top of the tenth, they gave up two in the bottom of the inning. Bowden Francis cruised through two innings but ran into trouble in the third giving up six runs which ended with a grand slam. Another run in the fourth made it four innings pitched, seven runs allowed.
Dilson Herrera hit a three run home run to get the comeback started and added a solo shot in the ninth to tie the game. Tyler White hit a grand slam in the seventh, one of his three hits.
The Fisher Cats scored three in the first inning highlighted by a two run single from Kevin Vicuna. Vicuna ended at 3-4 with 4 RBI. Jordan Groshans was 3-5. Vinny Capra had one hit, a solo home run.
Luis Quinones had 10 strikeouts in 4.2 innings. He walked three but needed 90 pitches to get through 4.2 innings.
The C's were up 3-0 after five but lost. Paxton Schultz went 5.1 innings and gave up one run. Gabriel Ponce took the loss.
The C's had six hits. Zac Cook drove in two runs. Orelvis and Will Robertson were hitless.
Only four hits for the D Jays, all singles. Michael Dominguez started and gave up two runs in 3.1 innings.
Dahian Santos gave up one run in four innings but the pitchers who followed him were not so good. JC Masson, selected in the 2019 draft from Quebec was 3-5 with two doubles. He has just six at-bats this season so he must have been injured. Emmanuel Sanchez also had two hits. Jaden Rudd, this years seventh round pick, hit a home run. Juan Gonzalez, 19th round pick was 2-2. The Cuban, Adriel Sotolongo, was also 2-2.
