Buffalo 4 Worcester 7
Portland 7 New Hampshire 6
Vancouver 3 Hillsboro 8
Dunedin 3 Clearwater 5
This is what I noted from yesterday's games.
Nick Allgeyer hadn't pitched much in the last ten days plus he had to handle the disappointment of being called up to the majors and not getting to pitch. Allgeyer gave up six runs in four innings including three home runs allowed.
The Bisons had only six hits. Christian Colon had half of them and is now hitting .400. Colon has played parts of five seasons in MLB with out ever getting an etended run. I am not sure of this performance gets him another shot but he is leading the Bisons offensively'
New Hampshire had a 6-3 lead headed to the ninth. Brady Rodning gave up four runs to take the loss. Simeon Woods Richardson threw five decent innings. In five innings he allowed three runs on five hits. He K's eight and threw 88 pitches,
The Fisher Cats had just three hits. Samad Taylor and Chavez Young each hit two run home runs. Otto Lopez had one hit that drove in a run. Gabriel Moreno and Austin Martin were hitless.
The Hops scored seven runs off Adam Kloffenstein in three innings. Lazaro Estrada threw two perfect innings. Hagen Danner who blew a save his last time out, threw three innings, striking out six.
Cameron Eden was 2-4. DJ Neal also had two hits. Davis Schneider hit his first home run of the season.
Sem Robberse just pitched two innings but conceded three runs. The best pitcher was Gabriel Ponce who threw two shutout innings. This was hit fourth appearance in a row without allowing a run and his ERA since opening day has been reduced from 60.75 to 7.71.
The Jays had five hits. Orelvis Martinez and Tanner Morris each doubled.
