Buffalo Bisons
Buffalo lost a wild one Friday, a close one Saturday, and a laugher Sunday. Danny Jansen and Darnell Sweeney homered Friday though Roemon Fields probably deserves most the credit as he collected four hits and three stolen bases. Thomas Pannone got hit around Saturday. Pannone was making his second start at the level and allowed three homers. Gio Urshela’s two hits Sunday were just about the only thing of note as the Bisons lost eight-zip.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats
New Hampshire won Friday, lost Saturday, and won again Sunday. Bo Bichette was the star Friday with four hits. T.J. Zeuch pitched five innings of two-run baseball on Saturday. Jon Harris followed suit and then some on Sunday with seven innings of one-run baseball.
Dunedin Blue Jays
Dunedin swept their weekend games. Three hits apiece from Kacy Clemens and Yeltsin Gudino and five innings of one-run baseball from Yennsy Diaz paced the D-Jays on Friday. Santiago Espinal homered as part of a two-hit day Saturday. Espinal followed that with three more hits Sunday and Connor Eller pitched six shutout innings to complete the weekend sweep.
Lansing Lugnuts
Lansing were losers in all their games this past weekend. Friday’s game saw Maximo Castillo get hit around to the tune of six earned over five innings. Graham Spraker’s six shutout innings were all for naught Saturday as the bats generated just two hits. Sunday’s loss capped a quiet weekend for the bats as Samad Taylor’s two hits and two stolen bases on the day were just about the only noteworthy performance.
Vancouver Canadians
The Canadians one win this weekend came wedged between two lackluster losses. The Canadians were shutout Friday without Griffin Conine in the lineup. Saturday’s win featured three Conine hits and homeruns from Nick Podkul and Jake Brodt. The Conine magic only went so far as the Canadians were six-two losers Sunday despite six strong innings from Jose Espada.
Bluefield Blue Jays
Bluefield managed one win this weekend on the back of an Eric Pardinho start. Pardinho pitched five innings of one-run baseball Sunday, striking out six to three walks.
GCL Blue Jays
Over a weekend where several big name prospects were rehabbing in Florida, Jordan Groshans was the star with three hits and five RBIs. Groshans now has 24 RBIs in 18 games played.
DSL Blue Jays
Not to be outdone, Miguel Hiraldo had two hits and an RBI over the weekend and counts 27 RBIs over 33 games to his name.
