Minor League Update Mama Mia the Farm was not good yesterday
Couple debuts and early concerns we may have a Pedro Serrano on our hands.

Buffalo Bisons

Buffalo was walked off last night by the hometown Syracuse Chiefs. This was the Bisons eighth loss in a row. Rowdy Tellez homered and Gregorio Petit had two doubles. Lucas Harrell pitched five innings of two run baseball.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats

Bit of a laugher in New Hampshire. The Fisher Cats were blown out 10-1. Harold Ramirez had two hits, but Shane Dawson was touched for eight runs in four innings.

Dunedin Blue Jays

This game was completed in 5 and a half innings due to rain. Dunedin lost. Lourdes Gurriel made another three errors last night. He has seven errors in four games. Only one of those errors led to an unearned run tonight. #Improvements. His teammates must love him.

Lansing Lugnuts

Stop the press, but Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were held hitless. Lansing got five innings of two run baseball out of Yennsy Diaz. The Lugnuts lost in extras.

Vancouver Canadians

Kacy Clemens was hitless in his debut, however, Lance Jones and Norberto Obeso had two apiece. The Canadians lost 5-1.

Bluefield Blue Jays

Kevin Smith had a debut to forget. He sombrero’d, kicked the ball twice, and was on the wrong side of 13-6 score line.

DSL Blue Jays

The only win on the farm last night—3-2 for the good guys.

Gold looks interesting to me as well Nigel.  Jay Blue was high on him - for a 27th round pick with a 100K bonus - in his prospect handbook.  He had a 10.9% walk rate and a 19.6 K rate last year, both promising.   He only threw out 21% of base stealers but Gold notes that that is not uncommon in the lower minors where some pitchers are more vulnerable to the SB.  He's only 19 , so he's age appropriate for the level.

I was skeptical of the idea of Sparkman to the pen but with all our injured relievers he certainly has a chance.  He hasn't been overwhelming in the minors - he took the loss last night to fall to 1 and 4 which is pretty remarkable given that he's got 18 IP total.  Only 19 baserunners allowed, but 3 HRs and only 11Ks are causes for concern.

Francisco Rodriguez has been reassigned from Vancouver to Bluefield. The C's had Yorman, Francisco and Dalton Rodriguez to start the year but now only Dalton remains. Also, 11th round pick Donnie Sellers will get the start tonight for Vancovuer. Wilfri Aleton was listed as the probable starter but the C's Twitter account shows Sellers will start instead.

F Rios got tired last year and went to the pen. C Greene has pitched a lot the last 2 years. Becoming a horse.

The Jays final affiliate -- the GCL Jays -- begins play on Monday at noon... the roster likely won't go up until close to game time since the club is owned by the Jays. Expect a very heavy international flavor... Elieser Medrano, Alvery Del Los Santos, Roither Hernandez, Felipe Castaneda, Meliton Reyes, Joseph Reyes, Luis de los Santos, Yhordegny Kelly... to name a few.

What has become of Travis Hosterman? I wonder if he is injured or on the GCL team. He is younger than the other HS players drafted last year.
